Broadcasters are on the lookout for “heavy drama, with themes focused on betrayal and revenge,” according to Roxanne J. Barcelona, VP of GMA Worldwide.

Among the dramas the company is bringing to NATPE is Color of My Blood, about two brothers separated during childhood who find themselves on opposite sides of the law as adults. Stepsisters battle it out over fame, fortune, family and love in The Stepdaughters, while Contessa tells a revenge tale about a woman framed for her would-be groom’s murder.

“Filipinos have a lot in common with the people of Latin America,” says Barcelona. “Themes of family, spirituality and romance appeal emotionally to the Latin American market, and we would like to continue to expand our distribution to more countries in this region.”

“GMA’s next endeavor is to introduce its Spanish-dubbed titles on digital platforms across Latin America,” Barcelona adds.
