ITVS GE Sells Package to Australia’s UKTV

CANNES: ITV Studios Global Entertainment (ITVS GE) has closed a deal with UKTV in Australia for 227 hours of programming across drama and entertainment categories.

Among the shows picked up by UKTV are the detective drama franchises Inspector Morse and three seasons of its spin-off Lewis, five seasons of A Touch of Frost as well as Prime Suspect. Also part of the deal are season 13 of the quiz show Eggheads and The Royal Variety Performance 2013.

Augustus Dulgaro, the senior VP for the Asia Pacific at ITV Studios Global Entertainment, said: “The enormous volume of hours acquired by UKTV is testament to the breadth and depth of ITVS GE’s portfolio, which features high quality content across every genre, from world-class drama to popular entertainment shows. We are delighted to continue our strong ongoing relationship with BBC channels in Australia, which are the exclusive homes of the top-rating series Coronation Street and Emmerdale.”
