ITV Studios Brings Content to Chinese Website

CANNES: JOY.CN, one of China’s largest content websites, has secured access to the upcoming big-budget production Titanic, among other titles, after agreeing to an output deal with ITV Studios Global Entertainment (ITVS GE).

 

The initial package of 140 hours of content will be available to Chinese audiences via VOD. The output deal covers Titanic, written by Oscar-winner Julian Fellowes,the NBC drama Prime Suspect, the award-winning drama Appropriate Adult, ITV Studios’ The Jury, Ruby Television’s Case Histories and the long-running detective series A Touch of Frost.
 
Augustus Dulgaro, the senior VP of Asia Pacific at ITV Studios Global Entertainment, said, “Many audiences in China are now watching more content online than they do via traditional television and with the appetite for British and U.S. programs continuing to grow, this deal is a very natural step for us in the region.”
