HOOQ Names Singapore Country Manager

SINGAPORE: Former Telstra executive Michael D’Oliveiro has joined Asian VOD service HOOQ to manage its operations in Singapore on the heels of the platform’s launch in the territory.

As country manager for Singapore, D’Oliveiro will be responsible for overseeing operations in the market, focusing on customer acquisition and retention as well as key partnerships as it expands its local business.

“With his over 18 years of diverse experience in the broadcast and telecommunications industry, we are sure that he will uncover new business opportunities here,” said HOOQ CEO Peter Bithos on the appointment.

D’Oliveiro previously developed, launched and managed Telstra’s first B2B portfolio of online video products outside of Australia. Prior to that he was with Astro in Malaysia.
