DIVA Adds Telemundo Block in Asia

SINGAPORE: Universal Networks International's female-skewing DIVA channel in Asia is set to launch a weekday two-hour programming block featuring telenovelas from Telemundo.

Aurora and Cruel Love (Perro Amor), dubbed into English, launch the DIVA presents Telemundo block on August 4 at 4:15 p.m. They will air first and exclusively in markets such as Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Philippines. Local-language subtitling will be offered in select markets.

“DIVA celebrates women and Telemundo defines passion—what better combination to appeal to our core female audience?,” said Christine Fellowes, the managing director for the Asia Pacific at Universal Networks International. “This expands our programming offerings to solidify our position as the leading entertainment channel for women.”
