Deputy GM Named at Star China

SHANGHAI: Star China Media has promoted Iris Xia to deputy general manager and renewed its association with Michel Rodrigue's The Format People.

Xia replaces Vivian Yin, who has joined FremantleMedia China as CEO. She has been with the company for more than a decade, sourcing content from the global market and overseeing programming, channel operations and development. As part of Star China's association with The Format People, Xia will work with Rodrigue on global program initiatives. Star China has renewed its retainer contract with Rodrigue for its international business operations.
