Celestial Tiger Makes Trio of Executive Hires

HONG KONG: Celestial Tiger Entertainment has bolstered its executive team with the appointment of Sylvia Noronha, Betty Tsui and Athena Ho.

Noronha joins as general counsel. She is responsible for guiding the company’s legal strategy and leading the legal department in support of Celestial’s three business lines. Noronha was previously a senior legal advisor at PCCW. Noronha reports to Todd Miller, the president and COO.

Tsui has been hired as VP of programming, covering KIX, KIX HD and Thrill. She will not only lead the programming team, will but also oversee acquisitions and programming strategy for the trio of channels. Tsui is a 12-year veteran of Sony Pictures Entertainment, where she was overseeing the programming, acquisitions and productions for AXN and Animax in Asia. Tsui reports to Ofanny Choi, the executive VP of TV networks.

Ho becomes the manager of research, tasked with overseeing research support for all three lines of business. Previously, Ho spent 12 years at The Walt Disney Company, managing research for Disney media Distribution and Disney Channels for the Asia-Pacific region. Ho will report to Andy Chang, the senior VP of marketing.
