CANAL+ Myanmar to Broadcast Asian Academy Creative Awards

CANAL+ Myanmar will localize and broadcast the Asian Academy Creative Awards’s Red Carpet and Gala Final this December, and will cover the cast panels at the National Winners Conference.

A special VFX studio will be set up at CANAL+ to allow for live crosses to the national winners in 12 categories, including best actor and actress.

CANAL+ Myanmar CEO Erwan Luherne noted, “Our ambition is to support and promote Myanmar talents in the local market but also abroad, in any situation and with the collaboration of all entities of CANAL+ Group.”

The AAAs this week announced a partnership with Facebook on a live stream of the Red Carpet, which, like the awards, will be virtual this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

“The engagement from the fans and the film and TV industry in Myanmar is fantastic, so we are very honored and excited to have CANAL+ come on board as our host broadcaster,” said AAA President Michael McKay.
