Beyond Rights has secured new kids’ and factual deals in China with Warner Bros. Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific, Youku, Red Apollo Group, No Country TV and Yuxiu International Media.

Warner Bros. Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific acquired a 70-hour package of MythBusters content, including episodes from seasons four, five and eight, as well as a selection of specials. The long-running, Emmy Award-nominated series is produced by Beyond Productions for Discovery US.

Youku, the streaming platform of Alibaba Digital Media and Entertainment Group, picked up the preschool animation title Hushabye Lullabye, produced by MaraKids for CBeebies in the U.K.

Red Apollo Group, meanwhile, acquired several history titles: ITN Productions’ Elizabeth, both seasons of Phoenix TV’s Underground Worlds, Beyond Productions’ Curse of Akakor and season three of Like A Shot Entertainment’s Medieval Dead, as well as Shipwreck Secrets.

No Country TV bought Woodcut Media’s history series Combat Ships and Wings of War.

Lastly, Yuxiu International Media acquired Pernel Media’s Who’s Afraid of the European Hamster.

Joanne Azzopardi, Beyond Rights’ executive VP of sales for Asia, Australia and New Zealand, said: “China is an increasingly important market for Beyond Rights, and I am delighted to have extended our relationship with each of these existing clients. It is particularly pleasing to see so many strong factual titles find new homes, especially as it provides a wonderful opportunity to showcase in this major TV territory the work of some of the incredible producers we represent, including our sister company Beyond Productions.”
