AVIA Names New Chief Policy Officer

Celeste Campbell-Pitt is joining the Asia Video Industry Association (AVIA) as chief policy officer, based in its Singapore office.

John Medeiros, AVIA’s long-serving Hong Kong-based chief policy officer, will work alongside Campbell-Pitt for a transition period before retiring from the organization.

Campbell-Pitt will spearhead the development and execution of policy initiatives relevant to AVIA members. Her two decades of business and legal experience in the media and entertainment industry across both Europe and Asia has included posts at Discovery Networks Asia, Endemol Shine Asia and Channel 4.

“This role is absolutely critical for AVIA and we have taken a long time to find the right person,” said Louis Boswell, CEO of AVIA. “While taking over from John, who has made the role his own, will be no easy task, I am delighted that we have found Celeste, who has such a passion for the industry and a clear vision for how to build and develop the role.”
