Asian Academy Creative Awards Opens for Entries

The 2021 edition of the Asian Academy Creative Awards is now open to entries produced across AsiaPac between July 1, 2020, and August 1, 2021.

The awards, presented in December, has scaled back the number of categories to 36 for this year’s edition. “We’ve paused six categories: sports, music and dance, immersive, adaptation of an existing format, telenovela and best feature film,” said Michael McKay, president of the Asian Academy Creative Awards. “Some categories have been impacted more than others during the Covid-19 restrictions, so we have paused them in the hope that they can return to the lineup as soon as possible.”

This year also sees the addition of best voice artist and the return of best natural history or wildlife program.

“There’s been some great content produced since July last year, despite all of the challenges our industry has faced, and we look forward to honoring these works, but first, you need to get your entries in,” McKay said.
