ABS-CBN Names New President & CEO

MANILA: ABS-CBN Corporation has appointed Carlo L. Katigbak as its new president and CEO, effective January 1, as Charo Santos-Concio plans to step down from the post on December 31.

Santos-Concio will continue to serve as chief content officer and president of ABS-CBN University, plus executive adviser to the chairman. Eugenio Lopez III remains as chairman of the board of ABS-CBN. Prior to his appointment as COO in March 2015, Katigbak served as head of access. Katigbak managed the operations of Sky Cable, ABS-CBNmobile and ABS-CBN TVplus. He was tasked with establishing the company’s internet business in 1999 and served as managing director of ABS-CBN Interactive, which ventured into online and mobile businesses.

Katigbak began his career at Sky in 1994 and returned to Sky Cable as COO from 2005 to 2012. He became president in 2013.
