Warner Bros. Discovery Reveals AsiaPac Teams

Warner Bros. Discovery has unveiled its senior leadership team in Japan, Australia and New Zealand under James Gibbons and in India, Southeast Asia and Korea under Clement Schwebig.

The team reporting to Gibbons, president and managing director for Japan, Australia and New Zealand includes Masami Takahashi country manager and head of studios for Japan, based in Tokyo. He will continue to oversee all theatrical activity, local production, content licensing, games and consumer products. Glen Kyne is head of networks for Japan and ANZ across pay TV, free to air and BVOD. Michael Brooks continues to serve as managing director of Warner Bros. International Television Production Australia and has been named head of studios for ANZ. Robi Stanton will serve as head of franchise development and affiliate relations for ANZ. Andrew Brommel continues in the role of VP of consumer products for ANZ. Warner Bros. Discovery has also tapped David Macdonald as VP of networks in Japan, reporting to Kyne.

Schwebig, president and managing director for Southeast Asia, Korea and India, revealed his senior team in a memo to staff, noting that operation “will be structured with a territory-focused approach to be more agile and locally relevant. At the same time, we will leverage our scale across the business and region to provide deeper expertise and greater efficiency. This means some functions will be in-country while others are regional. This is our strength and advantage.”

Jeeyoung Lee has been appointed as general manager for Korea, while Arjun Nohwar takes on that role for India. Across programming, original production and acquisitions, Magdalene Ew will continue to head entertainment, Christopher Ho will head kids. Lynn Ng will continue to lead content operations for AsiaPac and has been named head of factual and lifestyle for Southeast Asia. Leslie Lee is exiting the team.

Shonali Bedi will lead affiliate distribution and digital partnerships for Southeast Asia and remains head of business development and insights across the region. Cindy Ma will lead affiliate distribution and advertising sales for Taiwan. Jae Chang will continue to lead TV distribution and home entertainment, with consumer products licensing and Southeast Asia ad sales under Vikram Sharma. Jason Monteiro will head an integrated marketing team across Southeast Asia, Korea and India in addition to his coordination role for the streaming services.
