JioCinema Lands HBO, Max Originals, Warner Bros. Content for India

A new alliance between Warner Bros. Discovery and Viacom18 makes JioCinema the new Indian home of HBO, Max originals and Warner Bros. content, beginning next month.

The pact covers the exclusive rights to content across digital and linear, with shows set to premiere on JioCinema on the same day as the U.S. The multi-genre agreement covers current and future seasons of series such as House of the Dragon, The Last of Us, Succession and The White Lotus, returning seasons of True Detective: Night Country, Euphoria, Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty and Perry Mason. The pact also includes the upcoming The Idol, White House Plumbers, The Sympathizer and The Regime, plus library fare such as Game of Thrones, Sex and the City, Big Little Lies, Chernobyl and Veep. The Max originals headed to JioCinema include And Just Like That…, Peacemaker and The Flight Attendant.

JioCinema will also bring to its audiences Warner Bros. blockbuster movies, as well as animated series such as Dexter’s Laboratory and Tom and Jerry Kids.
