Southern Star Sells Australian Drama into Africa

SYDNEY, November 7: M-Net
channels in South Africa and across Africa have acquired the new one-hour
Australian drama series Rush from
Southern Star International in a run-of-series commitment.

Rush is
a Southern Star John Edwards production for Network Ten, produced in
association with Film Victoria. The series is set in a critical incident police
unit, providing an insider's look at police under pressure.

Pauline Cunningham, the
head of series acquisitions for M-Net, said: “M-Net continues to enjoy an
excellent working relationship with Southern Star driven by amazing content and
we are pleased with our latest acquisition, Rush.
M-Net Action is the perfect place for Rush, which has received rave reviews as one
of the best Australian crime dramas. And as a broadcaster we are looking
forward to launching this edgy and fast-paced series, which sits perfectly
within a channel whose pay-off line is 'Are you brave enough?' "
