Fremantle Names CFO, Chief Commercial & Legal Affairs for N. Europe

Fremantle has appointed Marijke Somers as chief financial officer and Manon van der Hoek as chief commercial and legal affairs for Northern Europe.

Somers has been with Fremantle since March 2023 as interim CFO for the Nordics and Poland. Effective today, she will be responsible for all countries in Northern Europe, including the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Poland.

Van der Hoek, meanwhile, will be responsible for all commercial and legal matters of the various Fremantle labels in Northern Europe.

They will both report to Georgette Schlick, CEO of Northern Europe.

Schlick commented: “Both Marijke and Manon have unique talents. They each bring expertise and experience to the table that complement the leadership team of Fremantle Northern Europe. Our focus lies on intensifying the collaboration in the area, which will help reinforce mutual synergies. In addition to their content-specific qualities Marijke’s and Manon’s liaising skills will play a crucial role in this process.
