Fox Inks Japanese VOD Deal

LOS ANGELES, July 11: Twentieth Century Fox has inked a deal
to bring a slate of its movie content to Japanese cable platform J:COM’s video
on demand service, including the titles Fantastic Four and Walk the Line.

The agreement with Jupiter VOD follows Fox’s video on demand
deals with IPTV platforms in Japan. “Fox is constantly looking for legitimate
digital distribution outlets that extend the entertainment experience in ways
which offer greater choice and flexibility to the consumer,” said Jamie McCabe,
the SVP of worldwide pay per view and video on demand at Twentieth Century Fox.
“We are excited about the opportunity to work with Jupiter as it rolls out its
VOD service across Japan.”

Beginning in August, the first Fox titles to be available on
Jupiter VOD include Fantastic Four, Walk the Line and Cheaper By The Dozen 2.
