Frances Manfredi has been appointed to join Peacock as president of content acquisition and strategy.

Manfredi will lead the streaming services’ program licensing and acquisition strategy. She will work closely with Bill McGoldrick, who leads original programming for the platform. Her appointment is effective in January. She will be reporting to Matt Strauss, chairman of Peacock and NBCUniversal Digital Enterprises.

Currently, Manfredi is serving as president of TV and new media distribution for the U.S. and Canada, responsible for television and film distribution to basic and pay cable platforms as well as SVOD services in North America. This year, Manfredi conducted the digital rights auction for The Office, resulting in the highest monetization for a non-current library series with strong SVOD streaming history.
