Eccho Rights’ Fredrik af Malmborg

Fredrik af Malmborg, managing director of Eccho Rights, spoke to World Screen‘s Anna Carugati about the opportunities presented from the CJ ENM partnership, the booming Spanish market and changes in the distribution business at large.

While Turkish dramas continue to be strong sellers for Eccho Rights, the company has seen increasing traction for scripted series from all over the world—from Scandinavia to Russia to India. Last December, the Korean media conglomerate CJ ENM acquired Eccho Rights, and the two will be working to strengthen the presence of shows from South Korea on the international stage.
