Disney+ Adds Sky’s Luke Bradley-Jones for Europe & Africa

The Walt Disney Company has tapped former Sky U.K. Chief Marketing Officer Luke Bradley-Jones for a new role to oversee the Disney+ streaming service for Europe and Africa.

Based in London, Bradley-Jones takes on the post of senior VP of direct-to-consumer and general manager of Disney+ Europe and Africa. He is slated to take up the role in early 2020.

Bradley-Jones will report to both Jan Koeppen, president of television and direct-to-consumer for Europe and Africa, and Michael Paull, president of Disney streaming services, and will work closely with Ricky Strauss, president of content and marketing for Disney+.

Most recently, Bradley-Jones was the CMO at Sky in the U.K., having overseen the transformation of Sky’s on-demand services and leading the launches of Sky Store, Sky Go Extra, Sky Box Sets and Sky Q. Prior to Sky, Bradley-Jones spent five years at BBC Studios (then BBC Worldwide), initially joining as head of strategy before becoming managing director of BBC.com and global iPlayer.
