Beyond to Bring Record-Breaking Number of Hours to MIPCOM

SYDNEY, September 25: Beyond Distribution’s catalogue for
MIPCOM covers a diverse mix of factual entertainment, documentaries and
children’s programming, totaling 190 hours of new programming.

In terms of factual entertainment fare, Beyond is offering
up Prototype This!, a 13×1-hour series
where five unorthodox scientists and engineers dream up, design and construct
gadgets from the future; the 6×30-minute South Sydney Story, partners Russell Crowe and multi-millionaire
businessman Peter Holmes to stage the biggest comeback in sporting history; Taboo,
a 13×1-hour exploration of extreme cultures
around the world; and Lonely Planet: Bluelist, available as a 4×30-minute series or as
26×3-minute-episodes, serves to help recommend a travel experience. Other
factual titles include Engineered, Out In The Cold, Big City Broker,
China Fast Forward, The Torque Show, The Master’s Apprentice, The School of
Home Truths
and Special
Investigations.

Beyond’s documentary offerings include the one-hour specials
Real Vampire, Independent
America: The Two Lane Search For Mom and Pop, Healer of Hoaxer, Dying For
Everest
and Not Broken.

Children’s properties include Backyard Science, The
Amazing Extraordinary Friends, Numberjacks

Milly, Molly.
The 45×15-minute series Numberjacks
features superhero numbers who help 3- to
6-year-olds develop early math skills. It is the biggest selling
children’s-television DVD property
in the U.K. so far this year.
