Drops of God, División Palermo Score International Emmy Awards

The 52nd International Emmy Awards recognized television creators and performers from ten countries, with the comedy win going to División Palermo and the best drama win to Drops of God.

Timothy Spall won best actor for The Sixth Commandment while Aokbab-Chutimon Chuengcharoensukying picked up best actress for her role in Hunger.

Dear Child won for TV movie/miniseries. Point of no Return scored the win for short-form series.

The Vow picked up the International Emmy for telenovela.

The Restaurant That Makes Mistakes season two took the award for non-scripted entertainment.

Pianoforte was the winner for arts programming.

Otto Baxter: Not a F***ing Horror Story won for best documentary. Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story came out as the winner for sports doc.

In the kids’ categories, Tabby McTat won for animation. The Secret Life of Your Mind landed the International Emmy for factual and entertainment. One of the Boys scored the win for live action.

The Founders Emmy was presented to David E. Kelley, the prolific writer and producer behind iconic shows such as Ally McBeal, L.A. Law and Big Little Lies, by Michael Pressman, co-executive producer of Kelley’s shows Picket Fences and Chicago Hope.

The Directorate Award was presented to Sidonie Dumas, CEO of Gaumont, by actor and producer Omar Sy, star of the hit show Lupin.

Paisner, International Academy president and CEO. “The International Academy is proud to recognize these outstanding programs and performances.”
