LONDON: This month will see the launch of Pompidou, a sitcom from British comedian Matt Lucas, on Netflix thanks to an agreement with all3media international.

Pompidou centers on an eccentric aristocrat who lives in an old caravan parked in front of his now crumbling estate. The 6×30-minute show is made by Lucas’s John Stanley Productions. It will become available on April 15 for Netflix members to stream in all territories where the service is offered, excluding Australia and New Zealand.

The first season of Pompidou will launch later in the year on Netflix in the U.K., where the show has already debuted on commissioning broadcaster BBC.

Steve Macallister, managing director of all3media international, said: “We are delighted that Netflix has joined us and the BBC on this our first partnership with John Stanley Productions—we know that Matt and his team are thrilled to be working with such a prestigious platform.”

Lucas added: “The one thing that everyone in the world has in common with each other is laughter and the aim of Pompidou is to reach out across the globe.”
