Univision tlnovelas to Air Classic ’80s Novela Colorina

NEW YORK: Colorina, a Televisa production that originally aired in the 1980s, is being brought back by Univision tlnovelas starting this month.

Premiering July 9, Colorina will run Monday to Friday at 10 p.m. on the network. This marks the first time the novela will air since its original debut.

Lucía Méndez and Enrique Álvarez Félix star in the novela, which is produced by Valentín Pimstein. Méndez plays Fernanda, a beautiful young woman who works at a night club but moonlights as a call girl, under the name Colorina. One night she is taken to a party at a mansion, where she meets Gustavo Adolfo (Félix), an unhappy millionaire with a domineering mother. His mother decides to pay Colorina to get pregnant by Gustavo, then give up the baby for her to raise. Colorina later regrets her decision and flees with her newborn to start a new life in another city under her real name. She returns to face the father of her son 20 years later.
