STUDIOCANAL is planning to develop a 52×11-minute animated series based on Michael Bond’s Paddington Bear.
The series will be designed for a broad audience, with a focus on preschoolers. STUDIOCANAL aims to launch the show at the end of 2018 or the beginning of 2019. The series is part of Vivendi’s overall strategy to expand the Paddington franchise.
Last month, STUDIOCANAL, Gameloft and Copyrights Groups revealed the launch of Paddington Run, the official Paddington game on mobile. The news of the animated series comes a few weeks before the world premiere of the film Paddington 2, which will open in the U.K. in November, in France in December and in the U.S. in January.
