Viacom International Studios (VIS) has inked multiple deals for three of its biggest titles at MIPCOM, including Nickelodeon’s Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

The new iteration in the Ninja Turtles franchise was licensed to China’s iQiyi, MBC in the Middle East and Albania’s Digitalb. The global premiere for the new series is currently rolling out across Nickelodeon’s channels and branded blocks in 170-plus territories.

Comedy Central Roast of Bruce Willis has been acquired by free-to-air Russian broadcaster TNT, Australia’s Foxtel, Ananey Communications in Israel and Finland’s Sanoma Media.

The game-show format True Love or True Lies? was picked up by the Nordic Entertainment Group in Finland and Denmark.

“VIS is privileged to own one of the industry’s most varied and exciting content portfolios, and it’s testament to this range of genres and high-quality franchises and formats that we are able to kick off this year’s market with major sales prior to the official launch of some our biggest titles,” commented Lauren Marriott, VP of international content sales at VIS. “Animation has always been the bedrock of our catalog, and with Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles it’s especially strong. As a genre it’s always top of our clients’ wish-lists, so together with reality, game shows, comedy and Elephant House Studios’ factual content, we’re looking forward to a very successful MIPCOM.”
