Youssou N’Dour, i-concerts Team Up to Create Live Portal

GENEVA, April 15: Swiss-based i-concerts has secured an
agreement with African musician Youssou N’Dour to launch i-concerts Africa, a
live portal slated to launch in the end of 2008.

Currently in development, i-concerts Africa will be a live
portal for consumers to stream concerts, as well as a web TV and IPTV channel
across the African continent. To launch this collaboration, i-concerts has
co-produced a high-definition film of Youssou N’Dour’s annual Grand Ball, which
took place at the Bercy Arena in Paris on April 5. The film will subsequently
be available through the i-concerts cross-platform networks.

N’Dour said: “The African
continent will finally have a unique cultural distribution platform with
i-concerts Africa. This venture is very exciting and we look forward to
announcing further developments over the coming months.”

“Through his music and humanitarian work Youssou N'Dour
manifests the very heart of Africa to the world,” added Natalia Tsarkova, the
CEO of i-concerts. “I-concerts is honored to be associated with Youssou's
vision in creating a state-of-the art live-music platform for the African
continent.”
