World Screen’s Anna Carugati to Interview Anne Sweeney for MIPCOM Keynote

NEW YORK: At MIPCOM, Disney/ABC’s Anne Sweeney will be interviewed by World Screen’s Anna Carugati in a keynote session on Tuesday, October 14, in the Grand Auditorium of the Palais des Festivals.

In this exclusive interview, Anne Sweeney, co-chair of Disney Media Networks, and president of the Disney/ABC Television Group, will talk about her career, the groundbreaking deals she spearheaded to get content on various digital platforms, her view of the future of the television industry and the next chapter of her career.

This conversation will take place on Tuesday, October 14, from 11:50 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. in the Grand Auditorium of the Palais des Festivals, and will be moderated by World Screen’s group editorial director, Anna Carugati.

Sweeney oversees ABC Studios, the ABC Owned Television Stations Group, and the ABC Television Network, which provides entertainment, news and children’s programming to viewers via more than 200 affiliated stations across the U.S. She also oversees Disney Channels Worldwide, a portfolio of 107 kid-driven, family-inclusive entertainment channels, including Disney Channel, Disney XD, Disney Junior, Disney Cinemagic, Hungama and Radio Disney brands. Additionally, Sweeney’s responsibilities include cable network ABC Family and the company’s equity interest in A+E Networks, Hulu and Fusion.

In March, Sweeney announced she will be stepping down from her current position at the end of this year to pursue a life-long passion: becoming a TV director.
