World Screen Video Interview: Discovery’s David Zaslav

NEW YORK: In this video interview, Discovery Communications’ president and CEO, David Zaslav, reflects on what has made the company’s brands so strong over the last 25 years and what’s still ahead.

 

For 25 years, Discovery Communications has been providing programming and information that allow people to explore their world and satisfy their curiosity. Today the company has more than 100 networks around the globe, led by Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, Science Channel, Investigation Discovery, Planet Green and HD Theater, as well as consumer and educational products, websites and other digital-media services. And there’s still much more on the roster for this powerhouse, including a kids’ channel jointly managed with Hasbro, the much-anticipated OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network and an ambitious plan to launch a 3D network in the U.S. in partnership with Sony and IMAX.
