World Screen to Present Fifth Annual Content Trendsetter Awards at MIPCOM

NEW YORK: World Screen and MIPCOM are presenting the fifth annual Content Trendsetter Awards, which this year will honor MTG’s Jakob Mejlhede, FOX International Channels’ Jason Simms, Viacom U.K.’s Katie Keenan, Amazon’s Jason Ropell and SVT’s Christian Wikander.

The recipients of the 2015 Content Trendsetter Awards, which recognize the achievements of some of the world's top programming executives, are Mejlhede, the executive VP of programming and content development for the Modern Times Group; Simms, the senior VP of global acquisitions at FOX International Channels; Keenan, the head of acquisitions at Channel 5 and Viacom International Media Networks U.K.; Ropell, the head of international content acquisition for digital video at Amazon; and Wikander, the head of drama at Sweden's SVT.

These executives will receive the Content Trendsetter Award at the end of the Acquisition Superpanel: What Do Buyers Want? session at MIPCOM on Wednesday, October 7. Taking place at the Grand Auditorium in the Palais, this must-attend panel will see the honorees discussing their programming strategies in conversation with Anna Carugati, World Screen's group editorial director.
