Rovio Names Country Director for India, South Asia

GURGAON: Angry Birds creator Rovio Entertainment has appointed Anurag Sachdeva as the company's new country director for India and South Asia.

Sachdeva is responsible for consolidating Rovio's presence in the market, driving worldwide partnerships and strategic alliances while enhancing the company's organizational abilities. He will also oversee telecom operator relations for Southeast Asia while concentrating on the growth of the company's market base. He previously served as Rovio's associate director of business development for India and Southeast Asia.

Earlier in his career, Sachdeva worked for such companies as Vodafone, Bharti Airtel, Virgin Mobile India and Aircel.

"Anurag has proven to be an asset steering the growth of Rovio in this very important market," said Alex Lambeek, Rovio's chief commercial officer. "He brings valuable experience to our Flock's leadership in South Asia and he will be key to helping us raise our game even further in the region.
