Winners Announced for Cartoons on the Bay

SALERNO, April 23: The BBC’s Charlie
and Lola was among the winners of this
year’s Pulcinella Awards, announced at the Cartoons on the Bay animation
festival over the weekend.

Charlie and Lola picked up the best TV series for infants award as
well as TV series of the year, while Nelvana’s Ruby Gloom won in the TV series for children category. The best
TV series for all ages was Futurikon’s Minuscolo. In the TV series action and adventure category the
winner was the BBC’s The Secret Show.
The best European program of the year was Breakthru Films’ Peter and
the Wolf from the U.K.

The Studio of the Year Awards
went to Maga Animation Studio in Italy and Cartoon Film in Germany.
