New Partner, Shareholder for Abbey Home Media

LONDON, August 28: Stephen
Moore has joined Abbey Home Media, the British outfit behind SuperTed, Wide Eye and Baby Bright, as a
partner and shareholder.

An industry veteran, Moore
has held positions at 20th Century Fox and Aardman Animations. Abbey Home
Media, launched in 1989 by Anne and Ian Miles, distributes preschool franchises such as Horrid Henry from Novel, Sesame Street from Sesame Workshop, The Magic Roundabout from Pathé, Spot from Penguin and Paddington
Bear
and The Wombles from Cookie Jar’s
FilmFair catalogue.

Moore commented: “Since coming back to London from Los
Angeles I have had a real desire to become a stakeholder in a business with the
pedigree and track record of Abbey. Anne and Ian have built a very special
company over the last 20 years and I intend to retain its essential values
while building a new creative platform. My experience with both Fox and Aardman
has put me in a very strong position to help take Abbey on to the next level.”

Ian Miles, Abbey’s executive chairman, added: “Having
followed Stephen’s career in the entertainment industry for over 20 years, I
have always been impressed at his progress and clearly his ability to ‘make
things happen.’ Anne and I are overjoyed that he has decided to join Abbey as
our partner and a substantial shareholder. I am sure at this appropriate time he
represents our own Olympic Gold Medalist!
