Whoopi Goldberg Stars in New FEARnet Web Series

LOS ANGELES, December 17: Stream, a new original sci-fi-themed mini-series event
executive produced by and starring Whoopi Goldberg, will premiere on horror and
thriller website and VOD service FEARnet on January 15.

Unfolding over six,
five-minute weekly episodes, Stream
chronicles the struggles of a
woman who spends her life wrestling with her personal demons and trying to
gather the strength to face her fears. Stream flips back and forth through three phases of the
woman's life: her past as an intelligent but headstrong teen, her present in a
psychiatric facility and her future as an adult clinging to a normal life after
years of tribulation.

The web series was produced by Kevin Arbouet and Corey Weiner and
executive produced by Goldberg, Tom Leonardis, Bill Common and Mitchell
Reichgut. Stream marks FEARnet's
sixth original series, following Devil's Trade, 30 Days of Night: Blood Trails and its sequel 30 Days of Night: Dust to Dust, as well as The Dark Path Chronicles and Buried Alive.

"We are thrilled to
be able to partner with Whoopi Goldberg to present this engaging new web event
exclusively at FEARnet," said Diane Robina, the president of FEARnet.
"We have always stressed that horror and thriller is a 'mainstream
niche'—not just slasher and torture and entertainment that appeals to
men. This is a diverse genre with many successful assets that includes women
and a large cross section of the population. Our success to date across both
gender and age validates this position and we believe this new project with Ms.
Goldberg will continue to drive large audiences to our multiplatform
network."
