CBS Announces Return of Comedies, Dramas

NEW YORK, February 14:
With the three-month-old writers’ strike coming to a close earlier this week,
CBS has announced a slate of comedies and dramas to return to the network this
spring, including the CSI franchise
and Two and a Half Men, among
others.

Comedies slated to return
to the network on March 17 are How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half Men, each with nine new episodes expected. Rules of
Engagement
is set to return with
six new episodes on April 14.

Drama series that are
expected to resume airing new episodes on the network include Cold Case on March 30 with five new episodes, Criminal
Minds
on April 2 with seven, Without
a Trace
on April 3 with six, Ghost
Whisperer
and Numb3rs on April 4 with six new episodes each, NCIS on April 8 with seven and Moonlight on April 11 with four. Shark will also return with four new episodes, on a date
to be announced.

Additionally, the CSI franchise is slated to air new episodes: CSI: Miami on March 24 with eight new episodes, CSI: NY on April 2 with seven and CSI on April 3 with six.

The Unit, Cane and Shark are on a previously announced hiatus to accommodate the mid-season
launches of Big Brother, Jericho and
Dexter. The drama series Swingtown,
which has not been scheduled yet,
will also resume production.
