WGBH International, CS Associates Merge

BOSTON, October 6: WGBH International and CS Associates are
combining under the banner of WGBH International, creating an entity with more
than 250 hours of documentary programming.

The merged entity will be present at MIPCOM with titles such
as the 90-minute version of Ken Burn’s Unforgivable Blackness: The Rise and
Fall of Jack Johnson
and WGBH’s latest Rx
for Survival: A Global Health Challenge
, The
Storm
, The Torture Question and the upcoming Jonestown.

“CS Associates is a hallmark of excellence in international
program distribution and we are thrilled to have Charles [Schuerhoff, the
president of CS Associates] join our expanding international activities,” said
Tom Koch, the director of WGBH International. “We look forward to having
Charles help us expand our catalog of high-end programs.”

Schuerhoff, who now becomes the director of acquisitions and
sales at WGBH International, will focus on acquiring and financing programming
that will play across multiple platforms around the world. "WGBH is a
major producer of top-quality programming,” says Schuerhoff, “and WGBH
International is an effective and successful distribution company with an
excellent track record. They have a catalogue of high-quality programming that
is very compatible with our own. I think that it will be an excellent
