Warner Bros. Website Revives Hanna-Barbera Characters

BURBANK, November 14:
Warner Bros. Advanced Digital Services is launching Saturday Morning Forever as part Hanna-Barbera.com, offering two hours of
cartoons per week made up of 80 percent classic Hanna-Barbara shorts and 20
percent original content.

The site is targeted to
tweens, teens and “teens-at-heart,” according to the company, allowing them to
watch classic programs like The Flintstones, The Jetsons and Yogi Bear. The site also lets them download screensavers and other content at
no cost.

Saturday Morning Forever aims to bring the classic Hanna-Barbera characters
into the online world,” said Sam Ades, director of brand strategy, Warner
Bros. Advanced Digital Services. “Its original content re-imagines the classic
Hanna-Barbera cartoons with a nod to the media-savvy teen/tween audience.”
In addition to Saturday Morning Forever, several new interactive components have been
added to Hanna-Barbera.com, including games, quizzes, polls, trivia contests
and sweepstakes. The site is designed to connect fans with classic
Hanna-Barbera characters such as The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Yogi Bear,
Huckleberry Hound, Space Ghost
and
Johnny Quest
.

The launch of Saturday Morning Forever is part of Warner Bros. Advanced Digital Services’
Web initiative for three of its most popular brands: Hanna-Barbera, Looney
Tunes and Scooby-Doo. Also recently unveiled: Looney Tunes.com and
Scooby-Doo.com.
