LOS ANGELES: Georgeville Television (GVTV) is working with Chris Carter, creator of The X-Files, for the new series The After, which will be distributed by the newly formed Sierra/Engine Television.

The After, written by Carter, centers on a mysterious, unexplained event. The story will include sci-fi elements as well as suspense, real-world fear and paranoia. Sierra/Engine is presenting the project at MIPCOM. It also represents GVTV’s Crossbones and Hunters.

“We are thrilled to be working with Chris,” said Marc Rosen, the CEO of Georgeville Television. “This is going to be a fantastic ride—one that only he could conceive—and the secrets, twists, and turns are a fan’s dream. Chris has woven his mythology magic within a very human, grounded story about the moment when we realize all of our worst fears about the world and its future.”

“Chris Carter’s vision has impacted the global television business for 20 years with The X-Files and being part of his latest big budget project is a tremendous honor,” commented Chris Philip, the CEO of Sierra/Engine Television.
