TV One Partners with Swirl Films

SILVER SPRING: Atlanta-based outfit Swirl Films will exclusively produce original movies and scripted series for TV One as part of a new multiyear deal with the network.

Swirl Films’ founder and CEO, Eric Tomosunas, and producer Keith Neal will oversee the production of live event specials, original movies and scripted series for TV One. The deal follows a range of successful Swirl Films productions on TV One this year, including Love Under New Management: The Miki Howard Story and Chasing Waterfalls.

D’Angela Proctor, TV One’s senior VP of programming and production, noted, “Swirl has an outstanding team that has risen to the challenge of producing multiple genres of television programming, from made-for-television movies to scripted dramas to a multi-camera awards show. Very few production companies can consistently produce quality content at a price point that makes sense for the network and we look forward to marrying the Swirl team with storytellers who want to tell fascinating stories that resonate with our audience.”
