Turner Taps Digital Media & Products SVP for TBS, TNT

ATLANTA: Turner has appointed former Participant Media exec Karina Kogan as senior VP of digital media and products for the flagship entertainment brands TBS and TNT.

In her new role, Kogan has oversight of TBS and TNT’s Atlanta-based digital team and Los Angeles-based content marketing team. She is expected to help build successful digital products across all platforms. She will work out of Los Angeles under Michael Engleman, executive VP of entertainment marketing and brand innovation for TBS and TNT.

Kogan previously served as executive VP of digital for Participant Media, where she was charged with the general management of the company’s online news magazine TakePart, among other duties. Before that, she was executive VP and chief marketing officer at digital pop-culture network Buzzmedia.

“Karina has a diverse set of skills that balance product development, technology and operations with content creation and digital/social publishing, making her a perfect fit for this key position,” said Engleman. “We’re delighted to welcome her to our team.”
