Snowpiercer Gets Premiere Date on TNT, New TBS & truTV Orders

TNT has set a premiere date for Snowpiercer, the series based on the critically acclaimed graphic novel series and the film from Golden Globe Award winner Bong Joon Ho (Parasite).

Set more than seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland, Snowpiercer centers on the survivors who live on a perpetually moving train that circles the globe. Slated to bow on TNT on May 31, the series stars Jennifer Connelly and Daveed Diggs.

In other WarnerMedia Entertainment news, TBS has ordered two more seasons of American Dad!, created by Seth MacFarlane, Mike Barker and Matt Weitzman. TBS has also greenlit and ordered ten episodes of the unscripted series Lost Resort, which offers an upstairs/downstairs look at the subculture of exotic wellness retreats. Miracle Workers: Dark Ages, a series about a group of medieval villagers trying to stay positive in an age of extreme conditions starring Daniel Radcliffe, premieres on the network on January 28.

At truTV, the sophomore season of Tacoma FD is slated to premiere on March 26. Hot Ones: The Game Show, a new half-hour game show based on the Hot Ones web series created by Complex Networks’ First We Feast, is set to make its debut on February 18. It’s Personal with Amy Hoggart, executive produced by Samantha Bee, will premiere on February 26. The network has also given a ten-episode order for the unscripted sitcom Tirdy Works, set in a small rural town with a booming new business that’s making arts and crafts out of moose turds.
