The Film Detective, a streaming service that restores classic films, has added a number of new titles to its lineup, including cartoons, young adult thrillers and documentaries.

The film company has revived a slew of films for its Juvenile Jungle Playlist. New to the playlist this year are Hot Rod Girl (1956), which follows a champion drag racer trying to defend his title, and Teenage Thunder (1957), about a rebellious teen who has a knack for racing hot-rods. Veteran titles include Girl Gang (1954), a film about a group of girls who would rather rob banks than wave pom poms, and Anatomy of a Psycho (1961), which explores a teenage break with reality.

The Film Detective also brings classic characters to its viewers with its new Cartoons Playlist. Available to stream starting the first of the month, the category contains nine episodes featuring beloved characters such as Popeye the Sailor, Superman, Betty Boop and, coming next month, Felix the Cat.

Additionally, the service is refreshing its recent Pre-Code category, as well as adding five new documentaries. Dealers in Death: Mayhem in America (1984) highlights the height of the crime era in New York City during the 1920s and 1930s. The late Christopher Lee narrates The Many Faces of Sherlock Holmes (1985), which depicts the different ways the literary detective was portrayed throughout history in the media. Amos & Andy: Anatomy of a Controversy (1983) speaks to the criticism surrounding the once-popular radio and television show that was eventually canceled due to public outcry. Burger Town (1997) is a look into the history of the burger, while Marilyn Monroe (1986) takes an intimate look at the actress’s life.
