The Ellen DeGeneres Show Renewed Through 2020

NEW YORK: The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations had picked up through the 2016-17 season, has been given an additional extension through the summer of 2020.

NBCUniversal struck the deal with Warner Bros. Domestic TV Distribution, which represents the popular syndicated daytime talk show. Through the agreement, the program will continue to be broadcast on ten NBC-owned stations across the country, including major markets such as New York and Chicago.

“For more than a decade, Ellen has anchored the daytime lineups of the NBC-owned stations, offering our viewers a great afternoon show, delivering a strong lead in for our early evening newscasts and helping to launch new hits,” said Valari Staab, the president of NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations.

“Day in and day out, Ellen delivers the best show on television,” added Warner Bros. Domestic TV Distribution president Ken Werner. “Ellen and her team produce a completely unique and exciting hour, which is appointment television for viewers everywhere.”
