TBS has promoted Thom Hinkle and Jeniffer Kim to executive VP of original programming and senior VP of original programming, respectively.

Both Kim and Hinkle will continue to report to Brett Weitz, the executive VP of programming for TBS. Hinkle, Kim and Weitz have cultivated and continue to maintain hit scripted original series, all of which have been renewed. These include the talk show Full Frontal with Samantha Bee; the comedies The Guest Book, Wrecked, The Detour and American Dad; and Search Party.

Hinkle joined TBS in 2013 as VP of original programming. Kim came on board as manager of comedy development in 2006, and both have moved up in the ranks over the years.

“Thom and Jen have had a tremendous impact on TBS’s success and I couldn’t imagine better partners, or a better team, in this business,” said Weitz. “Thom’s passion and instincts are second-to-none, and Jeniffer’s creativity and dedication continue to drive us forward. Everything they’ve dished out in the past two years has topped the charts and transitioned TBS into a comedy powerhouse. It would be nice to stand outside of their shadows once in a while.”

“The TBS team under Brett’s leadership has simply crushed it and Thom and Jen have been central to that success,” commented Kevin Reilly, the president of TBS and TNT and chief creative officer of Turner Entertainment. “Thom is the rare, creative executive who brings an inspired, imaginative spark in his own right, while now managing a full slate of projects. Jen is also unique in that her level of enthusiasm and artistic advocacy she has sustained over ten years is remarkable. While I don’t particularly like Thom personally, Jen is an absolute delight.”
