Starz Veteran Gets Upped to EVP of Programming & IT Operations

BEVERLY HILLS: Ray Milius has been elevated to the post of executive VP of programming and IT operations at Starz.

Working out of Engelwood, Colorado, Milius will be in charge of broadcast operations, post-production, engineering, transmission, media encoding, information technologies and the Starz, Encore, and Movieplex On Demand and Play services. He will also be responsible for implementing technological growth and change.

Milius was first hired by Starz in 1996. Before that he held positions with NBC, CBS and ABC affiliates, where he worked in commercial production, editing, and spent time directing and filming televised sporting and live news events. Milius is a member of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers, the Society of Broadcast Engineers and the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers.
