Starz Promotes Two in Original Programming Production

BEVERLY HILLS: Melissa Harper and Richter Hartig have been elevated to senior VPs of original programming production at Starz.

Harper is the senior VP of production for original programming production. Hartig is the senior VP of original programming production finance. Both were serving in similar capacities at the VP levels before the recent promotions.

“Melissa and Richter have accomplished a great deal as the volume and complexity of our projects has increased,“ said Carmi Zlotnik, the managing director for Starz. “Melissa has become a recognized leader in domestic and international production. She has a keen eye for details and nuances when it comes to production and her expertise has grown to include sophisticated production planning, VFX and stunts. Richter does equally important work for us as a financial whiz, managing domestic and international tax incentives and currency exchange rates valuation analytics to ensure we stay within our budgetary parameters. He is a trusted leader on my team in working with the senior finance group.”
