BBC America HD Now Available on AT&T U-Verse

NEW YORK: BBC America has extended its carriage deal with AT&T U-Verse, which is now offering the channel's content in high definition as part of the U-200 package.

AT&T U-Verse users now have access to a number of BBC America HD shows. Titles include Doctor Who, Top Gear, Orphan Black, Broadchurch and the upcoming series The Musketeers and Fleming: The Man Who Would Be Bond. BBC Natural History productions are also now available through the service in high definition.

"AT&T U-verse TV is delighted to continue carrying BBC America and offering the shows that we know our subscribers want," said Richard Levine, the VP of content for AT&T.

Sandy Ashendorf, the executive VP of network distribution at BBC Worldwide, America, added: "We're having a record-setting year and are very pleased to continue and expand our relationship with AT&T U-verse. Now, subscribers will be able to experience in high definition, as the creators intended, Doctor Who's 50th anniversary festivities, as well as our lineup of award-winning originals, landmark natural history series and the very best in British programming."
