SPT Hires Programming & Development, International Production VP

CULVER CITY: Jodie Platt, a former ABC Entertainment Group exec, has joined Sony Pictures Television (SPT) as the company's VP of programming and development, international production.

In her new role, Platt will work out of Los Angeles under Jeff Lerner, SPT's executive VP of scripted programming, international production. She is charged with overseeing scripted formats and original scripted series. She will collaborate with SPT's local production companies to expand its scripted television footage around the world.

Platt previously served as VP of current programming at ABC Entertainment Group. Earlier in her career, she was the VP of comedy development at ABC Studios.
