Samantha Bee Unveils New Prodco, Ties Up with TBS

Emmy-winning comedienne Samantha Bee (Full Frontal with Samantha Bee) is launching a new production company, Swimsuit Competition, which has entered into a first-look deal with TBS.

Swimsuit Competition will initially focus on content for the world of narrative and documentary television. The company, which signed an agreement to develop original content for TBS, “will be seeking great ideas from people flying under the radar, or whose work has been underestimated in the past.”

Kristen Everman, Emmy-nominated producer of Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, was appointed head of development for Swimsuit Competition. She said: “If your senior superlative was ‘Most Unaware of His or Her Appeal,’ call us! Or rather, email us, because honestly voicemails feel kind of rude.”

Bee commented: “Fine, if none of you are gonna make TV I want to watch, I’ll make it myself.”
