ATLANTA: Patrick Kelly has been upped to executive VP of business affairs for TBS and TNT, part of Turner Broadcasting System.

Kelly will work out of Los Angeles under Sandra Dewey, the president of TNT and TBS Productions and business affairs for Turner Broadcasting System. He will lead the day-to-day deal-making involving the brands' original programming. He will also supervise co-productions between the two networks and Turner International, as well as international distribution and worldwide home video of TBS and TNT's wholly owned programming. In addition, Kelly will collaborate with Dewey to develop business plans and strategies for the networks' in-house studios. He is also a member of TBS and TNT's senior executive team, with day-to-day oversight of the original programming group.

Kelly first began working for Turner Entertainment's business affairs department in 2002. He has managed business affairs for all original entertainment productions for TNT and TBS, including the dramas The Last Ship and Falling Skies. He has also led business affairs for such unscripted series as TNT's Cold Justice and TBS's Funny or Die Presents America's Next Weatherman. Before joining Turner, Kelly served as VP of business affairs at Columbia TriStar Television, which is now known as Sony Pictures Television.

"It is a pleasure to announce Pat's well-earned advancement within our organization," said Dewey. "Pat is recognized both internally at Turner and across the television community as the gold standard of professional and smart deal-making. Even after many years with Turner, he continues to be a rising star. As the television business continues to shape-shift at a rapid pace, Pat's contributions to the strategy and business management of our original programming are more valued than ever. We are delighted to include him as an important member of our senior leadership team."
